CCDS team was at the Holy Rosary Secondary School, Port Harcourt, with other 400 girls in attendees at the Pad A Girl Project funded by The Rotary International District 9141 in partnership with Rotary Club of Port-Harcourt Eco, plus other Rotary clubs in the district.

The beautiful part of this is that we are not just interested in ending Menstrual poverty in Nigeria and beyond, we are doing this in a sustainable way! This means to protect the girls and protect the environment. We are offering a more sustainable, affordable, accessible and environmentally friendly way to Menstrual Hygiene management by introducing the eco friendly reusable sanitary pads.

To deepen our understanding and knowledge in the pad production, we were taught ways of cutting the material, using two different kinds of material, and a padded material in-between.

This training, funded by the Rotary granted us the opportunity to deepen our practical experience in the reusable sanitary Pad production. Thanks to our Rotary Club president, Rtn Emem Okon for the wonderful opportunity.
